1、 Project Name

Scheme for Decolorization and COD Removal of Pulp and Paper Wastewater from a Paper Mill in Yueyang

2、 Project Overview

The effluent chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the Wastewater Treatment Plant of Yueyang Paper Mill is 351 mg/L, and the chromaticity is 100 times, which fails to meet the discharge limits specified in Table 2 of the National Standard GB 3544-2008 Discharge Standards for Water Pollutants in the Pulp and Paper Industry — among which the limit for COD is ≤ 80 mg/L and the limit for chromaticity is ≤ 50 times.

3、 Processing procedure

1) Diagnose and analyze the customer's water treatment process and water quality situation through our technical engineers, and adjust the dosing plan;

2) Add our company's water purification agent to the secondary sedimentation tank and determine the optimal dosing plan.

4、 Processing results

After our company chose to add 2800mg/L of water purification agent, the following effects were achieved:

The COD of the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank is stable at around 48.1mg/L, the chromaticity is stable at around 30 times, and the removal rate reaches 86%, meeting the discharge standards for water pollutants in the pulp and paper industry GB 3544-2008 Table 2, COD≤80mg/L, The standard for chromaticity is ≤ 50 times.
